Aventus is not one fragrance. Creed leans on natural materials, naturals move with the harvest, and the formula has been revised across the years. Two bottles with the same name and different codes on the base genuinely smell different. Most of what is written about this online is copied between forums by people who have smelled one or two batches. What follows is 35 bottles that live on one shelf, described honestly, including the ones that are hard to like.

Aventus 10J02 also sweet and creamy, woody
Aventus 10J02 is all about its smoke, which comes through with an ashtray like character that makes the scent feel very bold and challenging. It is not the easiest batch to appreciate right away, since the smokiness has an acquired taste and leans more rugged than crowd pleasing. In the mid, the fragrance stays woody and smoky, then gradually softens into a creamy musk vanilla drydown that gives the batch a smoother and more comforting finish.
Aventus 11Z01 sold out also pineapple forward, fruity, fresh and aquatic, sweet and creamy
Aventus 11Z01 has no noticeable pineapple presence and instead leans heavily into a smoky, oceanic, and salty profile that feels very distinctive from the usual fruity Aventus expectation.
