Captivate V1 opens with a syrupy pineapple accord wrapped in a noticeably musky character, giving this older bottle a deeper and more textured take on the Aventus inspired profile. The sweetness associated with the BR540 style DNA remains present and becomes more dominant in the mid, adding a rich and slightly airy sweetness that softens the composition. As it dries down, the musk becomes noticeable again, giving the fragrance a smoother and more mature finish. In this form, the added musk actually improves the scent, as it blends naturally with the Aventus style structure and gives it a more appealing depth.
